Had to drive down to Springfield to drop off a new hard drive to the Geek Squad so they could complete repairs on the IBM laptop. After that was accomplished we headed to BPS so I could
pick up some .45 ACP ammo. Gloria happened to notice a Banderas sign on a big building on Battlefield, so I turned around and we headed back. There were two signs out front that said "5 meals under $5" and a larger one that said "Twenty meals under $10". Now good bbq for less than fifty cents a meal sounded like quite a deal, so we went in and ordered a couple of the under ten dollar meals. As with all Banderas bbq, the food was fantastic. When I went to pay for our lunch, I told the waitress to take the other 18 lunches and box 'em up. She had a puzzled look on her face, so I had to explain the sign out front that said 20 lunches for less than ten dollars, and we had only eaten the first two.....hey, I was flying high on pain killers and had not had any fun all day long. You would have done the same thing.... In the long haul we settled for a couple of to go boxes and I put an extra buck on the tip for harrassing the nice server.

I was talking with an "older" lady cashier at Braum's, the other day. When I gave her a $20 and 3 pennies for a $3.93 item, she remarked.."Those 3 pennies would really confuse most younger people, when having to make change". I agreed. Then I told her of the time we ate at the BurgerKing in Iowa. You gave the gal a $20 and being there was no button on the cash register, to tell her how to make change for a $20 bill, she had to call the manager over and ask "How many fives are there in 20?". Did you confuse this latest gal, also?

I enjoy confusing them with the pennies, after they have punched in the amount. we were taught in grade school how to count money & count out the change, & to say thank you.. Now they hand you all your change at once & don't even say thank you any more.

No, Mike...I paid for lunch with the debit card, so all I had to do was add in the tip. A few days ago I bought a large drink that was a buck and some change. I paid with a $20 bill plus the exact change.
The cashier eventually got it right, but there was a lot of head scratching going on before the light came on.
