Waterfowl Hunting

We went out New Years Day on Table Rock, a little warm, But we killed 5 out of 7 Canadas that came in. Big birds too. The biggest weighed 12.5lbs. Partners 9 year old killed his first goose ever, beautiful shot. No ducks though.

Is anyone hunting lately in the south zone and seeing any ducks?

Getting in a few hunts---not as many as I would like to. The birds are stale down this way--but you can bag a few if you want to sit and wait and call and call and call----

Water levels are so low over here that I haven't been going. I don't see many while I'm quail hunting, and it has been too warm for them to use the river much. The labradog is staying pretty dry!

If you are killing Canadians on TR all you are killing is pets.....There ain't no WILD geese around here except as they migrate south in the fall.

As far as I'm concerned, he can kill all those pets he wants. We are just now getting migrators in my area. The goose population has picked up quite a bit. I just can't get access to the spots they are using right now.
The redhead grilled me some mallard last night for supper. Good stuff, Maynard!

The golf courses sure would be alot cleaner without them..........As far as good duck I never tasted any good duck.

Oh, I don't mind killing those Table Rock pet geese. Last year I killed one of those pet geese with a $100 band on it. Way to many down there anyway...

Hunted my last duck hunt for the season this morning down on TR with my son. Only bagged 1 mallard drake. Should have killed a limit of Canadas but poor shooting my part and my sons part really messed up that possibility. Kind of a poor season as far as ducks and geese killed went but i enjoyed it anyway.
