Lil Hunter and I went to Schell Osage CA today. It was definately a flight day. Unfortunately, we were in a good place to watch ducks but not to shoot them. Lil Hunter downed a woodie drake with his first shot of the season and I manage a wood duck hen right after that. Watched thousands of birds and had a few pass shots but did not connect. We had fun anyway. It was cold and windy.

Some of the boys are killing a few over in KS. Mostly divers with a mallard or two thrown in. I don't care much for diver hunting, mostly because they taste nasty unless you really work on them. They work ok in gumbo.
