anyone know of the waterfowl forcast for this season
used to hunt alot have boat and equip but havent been in several years may start back. used to hunt in st. charles co. was a guide for few years there but since moved all hunting is long ways from me

The forecast is good enough that they gave us 6 ducks and 60 days this year. Just depends on the weather how many drop in to take advantage of our Missouri hospitality.

I have hunted stockton for the past 10 yrs. Its true that it does not get real good until the local ponds freeze. the rest of the season is feast or famine, seems like.

Where ya located pedad?
I got one of the Conseervation Atlas's, and I hunt the smaller CA's with water on 'em that are nearer my house. There is usually lots of walking involved, but it can be worth it.
When everything else freezes, I hunt the river right behind the house.

I can't help you out much with that area. It's a LONG way from the metroplex.
Something that you might try is to float the rivers. I know a guy that does that on Spring river and does pretty well. He floats until he spooks some ducks, then jumps out with about 6 dekes and waits for them to return. I know he kills birds that way.
