Put a new fire control group in the AR today. I went with a component kit from JPRifles that used my existing hammer. After paying my money and reading the instructions, I really thought I had bitten off more than I could chew, but it worked out pretty well. I had to bob the hammer with the dremel and adjust the overtravel, etc, but I got it all dialed in. The trigger breaks like a glass rod at 3.25lbs instead of a creepy 7.5lbs.

Now if I can get the Finance Director talked into a Hogue grip and freefloat front grip I will be fat city. Really. That's it. For sure.

If it still fires, you are obviously not done messing with it yet........

Seriously, that sounds like a very nice upgrade. When you get really good at this gunsmithing thing, you can practice on mine !

I thought about taking up something cheap like whittling, but I'd spend a fortune on pocketknives.
