Saturday outing

The local guys who run coyotes with greyhounds were out early Sat morning, so I suited up and braved the wind and cold on the chance of picking off a coyote that might be sneaking out ahead of the dogs. The wind was really howling out of the west and ambient air temp was in the low twenties, so it was kinda brutal but I managed to get back to the fence row where big round hay bales are stored. Once I got hunkered down in those the wind was no longer a factor. From the bales I could watch both pastures, but after two hours I packed it in. The dogs were somewhere else and nothing was moving. Coyotes are breeding now, and it's kinda hard to pull a male away from his girlfriends......
