How long will you guys hunt coyotes after turkey season?

There is the never ending debate about the ethics of hunting coyotes in the summer after the pups are in the den, so I will put the rifles away by the end of May and let them have the summer to raise the young. Not only does this make me feel better, but it also makes for more "targets" this fall when the young and inexperienced adolescent coyotes can be brought to the call much more readily than the older and call wise adults. This is purely personal preference with me, and I don't intend to pass judgement on anybody who hunts through the summer. I especially don't have a problem with anybody who hunts the songdogs to put beans on the table and shoes on the kids' feet. There's more than enough coyotes to go around, and ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Good shooting to all.

I don't actually hunt for them but when one appears here around the house they get some lead headed their way doesn't matter if its January or July:devil:..........The local yotes try playing games with me their favorite game seems to be to try to kill my dogs but so far me and my dogs are batting a thousand!!

Go get 'em any time they are threatening pets, chickens or livestock. The kind of coyote hunting I'm talking about is making a concentrated effort to call coyotes in during the whelping season when it is purely for sport. I'm like you.....if they start getting too close to the house, copper jacketed lead will fly.
